MISHKA SHUBALY

Mishka Shubaly is a celebrated nonfiction writer and storyteller, known for truth-telling essays about addiction, recovery, endurance, and reinvention. After earning an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University,
he hit the road in a Toyota minivan, touring relentlessly as a musician before rebooting his career in writing. His voice has grown in power through Amazon’s Kindle Singles, with all seven titles becoming bestsellers, praised for their grit, dark humor, emotional honesty, and restless vulnerability.

Each summer, Mishka teaches a nonfiction writers workshop at Yale Summer Session, guiding writers to excavate the emotional truth beneath their work and refine their craft with integrity and rigor.

His full-length memoir, I Swear I’ll Make It Up to You, was released in 2016 and chronicles his addiction, near-self-destruction, and endurance as an ultra-runner—earning critical praise as a raw, redemptive bestseller.

JT HABERSAAT

At once both observational and bitingly sardonic, and deemed the ‘Godfather of Punk Rock Comedy’ by ‘Chicago Now’, JT Habersaat created the groundbreaking DIY juggernaut The Altercation Punk Comedy Tour in 2007, which he headlined for over a decade. Recently named one of the Interrobang’s ‘Next Big Thing Comics’, JT’s newest one-hour comedy special ‘Swamp Beast’ was released on 800 Pound Gorilla / Warner Music Group, where it hit #1 on the Bestselling Amazon Comedy Charts.

JT curates the annual Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas, currently entering its 10th year and recently hailed by Vulture.com as one of their ‘Top Comedy Festivals in the World’. 

A prolific writer, Habersaat’s 2018 tour diary novel ‘Killing For A Living’ received much critical acclaim. His brand new book ‘Doing Time: Comedians Talk Stand-Up’ was released worldwide in July 2025 on London’s distinguished Jawbone Press. The book has garnered rave reviews and coverage in the NY Post, XM Sirius Radio, The Chicago Tribune and beyond. 

KYLE POUGE

Kyle Pogue is a stand up comic living and working in Fort Collins, Colorado. He’s a regular performer at The Comedy Fort in Fort Collins and Comedy Works in Denver. Pogue has been on a butt load of festivals, including the High Plains and Altercation comedy fests. He has also opened for Mishka Shubaly on the road, a resume which also includes almost getting in bar fights, being stranded in the desert for a while when it was pretty hot, not having a thought for three days after taking MDA, getting hammered at The Fun House, meeting a lot of comedy heros and one funny Englishman, and also telling jokes in every broken dive bar and dejected comedy room from Phoenix to New Orleans without the looming threat of fame or success to get in the way.
